Pokémon Sword and Shield, the newest generation of Pokémon games, have recently released for the Nintendo Switch. We’ve examined each one of the 94 new creatures available in the Galar region and came up with a shortlist of the most adorable Pokémon we can’t wait to catch (both in the game and as plushies in the real world). But as eager as we are to see the clock tower and the stadium-style gyms, what excites us most is all of the bevy of new Pokémon to catch! Of the 94 new creatures, we’ve chosen five of our favorite “cool” Pokémon that we’d love to have on our team. Let’s get started!
Fire Emblem: Three Houses tells a very serious story that explores classism, clashing ideologies, and the horrors of war, but that doesn’t mean it can’t lighten up every once in a while. Through support conversations, monastery events, occasional hammy dialogue, and questionably canon Twitter posts from the voice actors, this game has accumulated a bevy of hilarious tidbits to enjoy. We’ve picked five of our favorites, so here are the funniest moments from Fire Emblem: Three Houses!
Fire Emblem: Three Houses features 35 playable characters who are split between three classes as well as the school faculty. Your default units consist of the eight students in whichever class you decide to teach, as well as any staff members who join your team automatically at certain points of the story. However, you can also recruit characters from other houses by fulfilling certain expectations, which allows you to build your army however you see fit.
But which units are the strongest, the most versatile, and the most crucial to recruit on every playthrough (leaving out the house leaders, since they aren’t recruitable outside of their routes)? Let’s take a look at the five strongest units from Fire Emblem: Three Houses!
Jojolion is the eighth part of the iconic JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series and has been in publication in Ultra Jump for the last eight years. It’s set in an alternate universe version of Morioh from Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable, but updates the year to 2011 and stars a mysterious teen named Josuke Higashikata who suddenly appeared one day, half-buried in the ground and suffering from amnesia (and, for some reason, he has four testicles). Strange things have been happening in Morioh lately, and it’s up to Josuke and his new friend Yasuho to solve these mysteries while also trying to ascertain his own true identity.
We’re sure you remember the 2017 anime adaptation of Land of the Lustrous, with its groundbreakingly gorgeous CG animation and unique gem-like characters, but have you ever read the manga? Haruko Ichikawa’s seinen saga has been in continuous publication in Monthly Afternoon magazine since 2012, and now it’s reached over 80 chapters (the anime only covered through chapter 31). It explores complex themes like identity and faith, delves deeply into Buddhist symbolism, and features some incredible artwork that brings this unique fantasy world to life in a completely different way than the anime does.
