The holiday season is fast approaching, and who would be better to ring it in than jolly old Santa Claus? His legendary status has afforded him appearances in advertisements, movies, parades, and of course... video games. Whatever form he ends up taking, Santa has spread Christmas cheer in everything from JRPGs to point-and-click adventures to idle browser games. So join us today as we count down the Top 10 Santa Appearances in Video Games!
He’s not the main protagonist of Vento Aureo, but Bucciarati is indisputably the leader of his team. He scouted each member individually, and they all respect him because he went out of his way to gain their devotion.
And even when a battle is going south, Bucciarati keeps the squad together. He always prioritizes the safety of his teammates and doesn’t let the constant onslaught of enemies keep the team from reaching their overall goal. He even meets the gang’s militantly secretive boss on his own so that everyone else would be safe.
Many of our favorite anime characters, especially in shounen and superhero shows, earned their lofty reputation by being masters of magic or supernatural martial arts. Goku is a great character on his own, but he wouldn’t be nearly as awesome without his signature Kamehameha or Super Saiyan transformation. That’s what he’s known for and it’s how he defeats any enemy who stands in his way.
Every JoJo main character knows that they’d be nothing without their most trusted and loyal friend, the JoBro. While there can be more than one JoBro per JoJo (Jolyne has both Ermes and Foo Fighters, for example), their individual importance as morality boosters and combat partners cannot be understated. No JoJo has ever saved the world alone.
We’re here today to honor our five favorite JoBros – those who have gone above and beyond in their service to the Joestar family line. They may not be the protagonists, but these characters have earned their places in the JoJo pantheon as true comrades and bros to the very end.
It’s natural that JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, which covers eight separate stories over hundreds of chapters and has been continuously published for over 30 years, would have more characters than it knows what to do with. And if we factor in mangaka Araki’s notorious forgetfulness, we’re left with dozens of interesting heroes and villains who didn’t get enough time to shine.
Join us as we take a look at our favorite underused characters in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, both from the anime and the manga. We just wish we could’ve seen more of them in the actual series.
